My company Bertil Allard Holding have interest some companies in Life Science. The major investment is in Hörsam ( www.horsam.se ) but I am also a boardmember of Phoniro ( www.phoniro.se ). I have also involvment in Puls ( www.pulsinvest.se ) and the very new Brorsson Innovation ( wwww.brorssoninnovation.se ). My former company, today owned by my youngest son was Camp Scandinavia www.camp.se My main area of interest in Life Science relates to rehabilitation but in a wide aspect.

DIGNIO
Todays care model for elderly does not meet the demand from the group and public health budgets are suffering.
Dignio introduce a care models that is sustainable and maintain a high service level for the users. The care model is created by a set of roles, procedures and a technical platform.
Dignio has a contract with the city of Oslo to pilot this, and more primary care providers - both private and public are signing up.
Going international is expected in 3Q 2013.

Description
Kalevi Virta was operating as the full time Programme manager for the technology programme FinnWell for period of five years, from May 2004 to April 2009. The programme was funded by Tekes, Finnish Funding Agency for Technology and Innovation (www.tekes.fi/ohjelmat/finnwell). FinnWell was one of the most extensive technology programmes, the total value of the programme was € 170 million including almost 300 industry, public and research projects. The objective of the five-year programme was to improve the quality and profitability of healthcare, and to promote business activities and international cooperation in the health industry cluster. Operating as programme coordinator Kalevi Virta was responsible for coordinating the programme operations, activation of the health care business sector and operating as coordinator for the new networks generated to reach the programme objectives.

Inerventions
The Elektrodress is a revolutionary body suit that increases the mobility and abilities for people with Cerebral Palsy or stroke. Inerventions AB was founded in 2010, based on the innovation Elektrodress. Inerventions has an accumulated turn over of 7,5MSEK in mid 2012, and roughly 330 patients using the treatment system. In november 2012 we will be finished with the regulatory requirements and start product sales on the Scandinavian Market.

KIPAX is a private investor specialized into Medtech and was founded 2010.
Investments have been made for instance into SenseAbues (breath based drug testing), Contego (Embolic Protection Devices), AEEG (Cardiac surgical devices), Zoomcamp (vehicle for disabled persons), and others.
We prefer to invest into early phase startup companies as a co-investor, but not a lead investor.
KIPAX is working in close cooperation with KIPA, a Swedish based IP firm specialized into medical devices.
