Firstly, our browser-based system with state-of-the-art data security enables medical specialist consultation in the first point of care. Health care costs will be substantially reduced as fewer patients will be referred to hospitals; instead they can be diagnosed and treated in the first point of care. Simultaneously, accessibility to care and quality of care are improved.

Secondly, our smart ECG solution enables cardiac arrhythmias testing at home analogically to how blood pressure measurements were shifted from doctors' offices to homes in 1980’s and 1990’s.

Synoste is a Finnish startup company that develops and will sell novel patient friendly medical solutions for treatment of skeletal deformities. The first target is a better device for the well known, but complication prone limb lengthening procedure, which is still extremely uncomfortable for the patient.  Synoste utilizes smart materials and introduces a less painful and precisely controllable treatment device that lowers the complication rate and enables faster recovery to normal life.

Valkee Oy is a health technology company founded in 2007 that has developed a bright light headset device for treatment of Seasonal Affective Disorder. The knowhow of the company is based on long term scientific research and development work together with the Oulu University.

The Valkee Bright Light Headset substitutes the mood-elevating effects of the sun, by channeling safe bright light directly to photosensitive regions of the brain through the ear canal. That's why Valkee increases energy, and can act as a preventative or treatment of mood swings. Valkee has CE Class II(a) medical device certification and is clinically tested.
